Going Up to Har HaBayit

An ascent to Har HaBayit is not a tour — it is an aliyah. Done properly, it is one of the most powerful experiences in Jewish life. Here is exactly how to prepare.

The Halachic Framework

Guided visits enter only the areas that the poskim who permit ascent have identified as outside the sanctified core, following careful measurement and established routes. Preparation includes immersion in a mikveh and awareness of the relevant halachot.

Speak with your Rav as part of your preparation — we'll help you know what to ask.
